Blitz PR is responsible for the corporate identity for the Newspaper Awards, the UKs only industry awards dedicated to recognising achievement in newspaper production. Newspaper Awards is an awards ceremony held in Spring each year. Since 1996 it has been attracting entries from all the leading daily and weekend national newspapers as well as regional and special interest newspapers across the UK. Over the past 10 years, Newspaper Awards has modified its brand identity, ensuring it is still fresh, clean and modern. Blitz PR works with a roster of freelance designers and copywriters, handpicking the most appropriate for the requirements of a project and can produce a variety of materials to enhance a companys corporate identity. Something that has been instrumental for the Newspaper Awards.
Strategy and Plan
Newspaper Awards is a years worth of branding and hard work for the organisers who sell tables for the exclusive ceremony. In the year running up to the event, Blitz PR provides a variety of collateral comprising press releases, an extensive website, advertising and media buying to ensure that Newspaper Awards attracts sponsorship and that the tables sell for the event.
The Newspaper Awards website has been designed and managed to ensure it serves as a marketing device, aiding sponsorship and being the most current place to visit for up-to-date material on the awards. Blitz PR liased with designers and printers to ensure collateral, such as direct mail pieces, invites, menu cards and banners emphasised and embodied Newspaper Awards brand values. Blitz PR was also responsible for drafting and producing copy for the winners brochure, which is handed out at the end of the awards evening. Additonally Blitz PR was asked to develop a full communications programme to ensure maximum coverage throughout the year and subsequently drafted press releases covering issues such as the call for entries and announcing the winners.
